His educational journey began at Liverpool John Moores University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Media. Driven by a desire to elevate his marketing acumen, Michael went on to pursue an MBA in Marketing Strategy and Business Development at San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business. His MBA experience was transformative, as he navigated the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, developing resilience and a sharper strategic focus. Guided by influential professors like Claudiu Dimofte and Miro Copic, Michael learned to adapt, innovate, and lead in challenging environments​​.

Professionally, Michael has a track record of delivering significant results for high-profile brands. Before joining R23 Law, he spearheaded marketing campaigns for global luxury and entertainment firms such as Hakkasan Group, Rhino Brands, and Andaz San Diego. In these roles, he managed multi-million-dollar budgets and implemented data-driven strategies that boosted brand visibility and drove customer engagement. His work not only solidified these brands as leaders in their sectors but also refined his ability to tailor marketing efforts to diverse and dynamic industries.

Michael McShane’s passion isn’t limited to marketing; he’s also one of the most fervent supporters of Manchester United, a lifelong devotion that fuels his energy both on and off the job.

A proud fixture in the Stretford End at Old Trafford, Michael embodies the die-hard spirit of United fans worldwide. Whether cheering on his team from his home in California or making the pilgrimage to Salford for a match, his enthusiasm for the club is unmatched. Known among his friends as the go-to authority on all things Red Devils, he’s just as likely to break down a match’s tactical nuances as he is to lead a chant in a sea of fans.

Michael was born and raised in Ireland, hailing from a family of lawyers. He is also a life-long skier and grew up straight-lining the slopes of the Swiss Alps. Despite the fact that Michael’s workaholic nature leaves him little free time, he spends those moments with his surgeon wife and two french bulldog puppies.
